MeadowLea builds Plant Seed gardens in Children’s Hospitals

By making the Plant Seed Promise it won't just benefit your health; it will also put a smile on the faces of kids in need. If MeadowLea reach 2,000 Plant Seed Promises, they will build Plant Seed gardens in children's hospitals across Australia.  MeadowLea have already built a Plant Seed garden at St George Hospital in New South Wales and four more children's hospitals are looking forward to receiving theirs, we just need your promises:

The St George Hospital and Community Health Service is one of the largest hospitals in Sydney and admits more than 50,000 in-patients and over 770,000 outpatients each year. St George Hospital has a large paediatric ward including 22 beds as well as a nursery unit for up to 12 premature babies.
The paediatrics ward outdoor entertainment area received a fantastic refurbishment in January for the launch of the Plant Seed Promise. A new BBQ area and a beautiful garden was put in so children and their families can use the area to celebrate events.

Austin Hospital is a major provider of tertiary health services, completing 99,363 inpatient admissions, 170,497 outpatient attendances and 69,923 emergency attendances during 2010-11. Austin Hospital has a 16-bed Paediatrics Ward complemented by a number of paediatric outpatient clinics. Austin Hospital have an area near their paediatrics ward that needs a facelift. The hospital would like to paint a scenic mural on a large pillar and fill the area with beautiful flowers and greenery so children and their families have a place outside to enjoy.

The Wesley Hospital is one of the largest private hospital's in Queensland with 524 beds. The paediatric ward has 24 beds offering private rooms with enquires, which are large enough to accommodate parents who wish to stay with their children.
The Wesley Hospital would like to do up a paved courtyard located next to the paediatric ward so that it is more inviting for children and their families. They would like to create a sitting area for families to enjoy the fresh air and a play area which the children can retreat to.

The Women's and Children's Hospital is a specialist facility for women, babies and children providing over 320,000 outpatient appointments each year. The Hospital is the leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions in South Australia, as well as the State’s largest maternity and obstetric service.
The Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation would love to liven up the Hospital Play Deck with a garden for the families and children.

Princess Margaret Hospital is a 220-bed, internationally-recognised paediatric facility that treats children and adolescents from around the state with approximately 250,000 patient visits each year. The hospital would like to renovate an outdoor area that adjoins one of their paediatrics wards so it can be used as a retreat for patients and their families. The vision for the area includes large plants to create some privacy for the space and the installation of a mural to brighten up a surrounding wall.
